Hi friends!
I’m so happy you’ve trusted me to make a Publix weekly meal plan for you to use. The plan includes a full grocery list for five simple dinners, five breakfast options, several lunch options, and of course snacks. This specific plan is for around $130 *HOWEVER* do not set yourself on that exact goal. The goal here is to CUT your grocery spending. You may have a special diet, bigger kids/appetites, etc and will need to account for that! So even adding $50 in your personal extras will land you in a good spot in my opinion! I’ve heard so many trying NOT to spend $300/week at Publix and this is a great start.
You will notice that this is a very SIMPLE (but not skimpy!) list. This will easily feed my husband, our three (small) children, and a nursing (hangry) mama. We do not drink anything but coffee (included) and water. We also don’t buy single-size snacks (although 12 cheezits are included). Because we save so much weekly, I will often “splurge” on sparkling waters and fun snacks when I shop at Sam’s- they’re cheaper and last the whole month. Be sure to estimate the cost of these if you prefer to buy weekly!
The KEY with Publix (and any grocery store really) is basing your meal plan on what’s on sale. If you’re hoping to save big this year, you may have to first start by cutting ties with specific products/brands. Also watching impulse purchases and convenience foods (but again, there’s margin for that!). Lastly consider rotating which fruits (this week it’s berries, apples, & mandarin cups) and snacks you buy weekly.
None of this meal plan involves making anything from scratch nor does it include involved recipes. The most you’ll be doing is cutting up strawberries, putting together salad kits, and cooking the proteins in your meals.
Consider paying $3 for the full grocery list, plan, instructions, and the extra B1G1 list to help me cover the costs of my sharing site. This is totally optional! The PDF is the small link below. Thanks! 🙂
